How I edited My Photos
This is how I edited my photos in photoshop. To create my main image on my double page spread. There were a couple stages I went through. Firstly I cropped the image to remove a majority of the unneeded background. This saved time when removing the background because I only needed to remove the background that would be seen in the image. I then used the magnetic lasso tool, to help me be guided around the image to remove a majority of the background I could. I then removed the background by using the layer via cut tool. I then deleted this layer to be left with the parts I wanted only. These are the steps I went through to edit the main image.
My Masthead
(This is new for this coursework)
My old masthead
My new masthead
This is my new masthead for my magazine. It can be seen on
the front cover. I needed to create a better one for the magazine as I was
unhappy with how the other one turned out. I wanted the masthead to be eye
catching and be unique because this would be the first thing that would catch
the readers eye. This is one of the main things I highlighted in my research of
music magazines. I kept with the stereotype of having the masthead at the top
of the page because it would be the first thing someone would look at when choosing
a magazine. Also, on some shelves the rest of the magazine is covered and the
masthead is the only thing that can be seen. This is why it is at the top and I
wanted it to be unique.
I created my masthead only on Quark. I created it using
there fonts because it has the correct appearance I wanted it to have and gave
my magazine the appearance I wanted it to have.
